Museum of the Political History of Russia
$10Museum of the Political History of Russia
This mueseum is a must-see for history lovers. It covers a period of Soviet political history, from the beginning to the end of XXth century. You can see a real Lenin’s office and a lot of things related to politics of the Soviet time. Revolution, Stalin’s repressions, World War II, Carribean crysis and cold war – everything is covered. If you want to know more about USSR – this place is the best to see it. Because all that partiotic Soviet shit you can see anywhere else tells nothing about the blood and suffer needed to build it.

The Kronstadt Cathedral
$0The Kronstadt Cathedral
This cathedral is incredibly big and full of light, gold and mosaics. It has a sad story: it was used like a cinema and a naval museum by Soviet authorities who fought the religion. All of its interior was completely destroyed, but now it is restored (some work is still on but it is open for several years already). So you can come and enjoy most probably #2 church in the city (after Savior-on-Spilt-Blood that has a much better location). It is a working church so please mind the dresscode.

Belgrade club
$15Belgrade club
This bar is like any of it’s neighbours. Nothing special here except for some bigger space: it is at least twice bigger than average bar on Dumskaya. Welcome here to drink and dance to the music you definitely won’t remember because aaah who cares when you got drinks! This club is one of the oldest in town, but somewhy they don’t have a TripAdvisor page so please see a Foursquare page instead. Sometimes it is really so much fun here!

Zoological Museum
$4Zoological Museum
This museum is filled with stuffed animals of all kinds. Thousands of stuffed creatures are here! From a small cute birdie to a fierce polar bear. The collection is really huge. And of course the famous mammoth is here! A real mammoth baby found in the ice in a good condition. There is also a plenty of dinosaur bones, dolphin and whale maquettes, insects and so on. If you love biology and are interested in nature you should definitely see this. Surely a thing to see, especially with your kids (if you have some)!
P. S. They don’t stuff poor little creatures anymore so no animals were hurt for tens of years.
