This mueseum is a must-see for history lovers. It covers a period of Soviet political history, from the beginning to the end of XXth century. You can see a real Lenin’s office and a lot of things related to politics of the Soviet time. Revolution, Stalin’s repressions, World War II, Carribean crysis and cold war – everything is covered. If you want to know more about USSR – this place is the best to see it. Because all that partiotic Soviet shit you can see anywhere else tells nothing about the blood and suffer needed to build it.

Lots of interesting things

From 1920s kettle used by revolution soldiers to Lenin’s office. A largest amount of items and documents. Nearly anything has an English translation.

Terror as Russian politics

This place shows how politics used to treat the people here. And there is only one word for it: terror. Nowadays those good old traditions seem to be back, at least in propaganda on TV and imprisonment for political reasons. But we still hope we won’t get a couple of years in prison for being late to work as it was here in 1940.
