Ligovsky 50 is a former industrial area. Now it is a trade area: lots of shops and offices are here. But the look is still very industrial! That’s quite unusual after all those glamorous main city streets that are in a few steps from here. Don’t be afraid of this quiet and unusual area, this place is quite safe even at night: the worst thing that can happen here is a party! Oh, of course you may get lost but the area is relatively small and this won’t last long. A couple of years ago there were more than 15 clubs. Nowadays there are about 10 clubs remaining. We have listed all places recommended for a visit, others are concert places, shitty places or closed places you will never enter. So remember this area on a map: turn to the right to find Poison, 1703 and Friends Only Bar. Go forward to find Dune bar and Ukusno restraunt. Wait for a minute to see where people go to find the way. All those places are best at night (Dune is good only at nice weather). Don’t come here too early, there are no bars whatever their names say! Clubs only!

A network of 3 bars (1 bar is about to open in Prague, Czech republic). They are located in Ligovsky 50, Rubinsteina and Dumskaya bar streets. They sing rock songs here! From Beatles to Guano Apes, from Prodigy to System of a Down. This place is full of fun as the drinks are cheap. Poison bars on Dumskaya and Rubinsteina are packed even on weekdays. The guards are rude and really big so don’t ask too much questions if they don’t let you in! Like all bars on Dumskaya, Poison on Dumskaya street is the dirtiest and the cheapest. Poison on Rubinsteina street is cleaner and a bit more expensive. Ligovsky 50 bar is something in the middle (plus you probably can smoke in this bar so avoid it if you’re non-smoker). As soon as people sing songs in English here be sure every visitor speaks English at least a little bit.

A small Serbian cafe on Ligovsky 50 offers you a wonderful dish you definitely should try: pljeskavitsa. Pljescavitsa is an extremely big beef cutlet with special spices and always served with special sauces. In ‘Ukusno’ they put it in a bun with vegetables – and here comes a wonderful Serbian burger. Taste some southern slavic cuisine without moving to Serbia or Montenegro!

‘Dune’ is an open little night club with a kind of a playground instead of a dancefloor. All the party is there, only the bar is in the small room. It is a trashy place for young people: looks quite awful, but really fun to visit! Drinks are cheap, DJ music is really nice most of the nights. If you don’t care about anything but party – this is the right place to visit! They don’t even have a page on Tripadvisor (like most of Ligovsky 50 clubs). If you visit Ligovsky 50 in a warm summer night – don’t forget to visit the Dune club!

1703 is another cheap night club for students. 1703 is a year St. Petersburg was founded, so the concept is that it’s kinda typical night club for our city. Well, it is! Trashy, but funny! 1703 club is relatively large, lots of people are in and everybody is very-very drunk here! Somebody is dancing, somebody is sleeping, somebody is playing kicker, and so on. No special music here, just a mashup of hipster classics (like RHCP and Deepeche Mode) with some a bit more modern music of all kinds, from rap to dance. Most visitors are Russians around 20 years old.

A night club next door with 1703 bar. It has a facecontroller pretending that this place is really for friends only. That’s bullshit, just tell him Ivan invited you (or tell any other Russian name, but Ivan seems to work well). Inside you will find a tiny room with a smaller crowd of people than in bars nearby. People are a bit older here, around 25 years old or something. This club is also cheap and bit trashy, but really nice though!
